Why Hahnemann Homoeopathic Medical College and hospital
Faisalabad is one of the most populous cities of Pakistan. Situated in the fertile plans of central Punjab, it is third in population after Karachi and Lahore. Due to concentration of textile industry it is known as Manchester of Pakistan. The city itself has a population of more than two million; the whole division has five million. It has twelve colleges, one college of technology, one medical college, two commerce colleges, and six colleges of homeopathy. The city is a great tax payer to the Government of Pakistan.
Under the new health and education policies of granting autonomy to institutions and hospitals, the Government of Punjab has recently allowed to function four new Universities at Faisalabad in private sector. All the colleges have been made autonomous. Hahnemann Institute of Homeopathy is most eminently suited to be the first degree awarding institution in this city of industrialists, workers, educationists, tradesmen and men and women of myriad other trades.
Starting from Faisalabad, the idea of institutions of alternative medicine could catch on and spread in the length and breadth of Pakistan to alleviate the plight of 70 per cent of people incapable of benefiting from the inadequate facilities of dominant system. Hahnemann Institute of Homeopathy will be performing a function which no other university or autonomous institution is performing in this area i.e. creating high caliber, Bachelor’s degree holding homeopathic physicians.
Establishment
Hahnemann HHomeopathic Medical College and Research Center Faisalabad was established in the year 1984. The Founder of Hahnemann Homeopathic Medical College “optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence” and so the birth of Dr. Asghar ali in an affluent agriculturist family of Punjab Faisalabad was the beginning of great things to come. Dr. Asghar ali did not rest on his laurels as a social worker but dreamt of contributing better values to the society.
Hahnemann Institute of Homeopathy is situated in a very suitably located area of the third biggest city of Pakistan. It consists of 14 Kanals.
